We encourage everyone who calls Northside home to be part of a Group, because life with Jesus was never meant to be lived alone. Groups are where friendships form, God’s Word takes root in us, and we learn what it means to walk with Christ together.
In community, we experience the joy of being known and loved, cared for and encouraged—and we’re also challenged to grow as wholehearted followers of Jesus.
At Northside, we offer married groups, as well as men’s and women’s groups, that meet regularly to share life, study Scripture, and support one another. Our desire is to live out the instructions of Scripture to encourage, support, and exhort one another, building a church family that reflects the heart of Christ.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.
And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.
Our weekly Sermon Application Questions are designed to help Groups go deeper into Sunday’s message. Each set of questions creates space for conversation, reflection, and practical application.
As you walk through them together, you’ll find opportunities to wrestle with the truths of Scripture, encourage one another in faith, and consider what it looks like to live out God’s Word in daily life. These questions aren’t just for discussion—they’re a tool for transformation, helping us grow as disciples of Jesus in community.

We encourage everyone who calls Northside home to join us for one of our Group Launch events, held each spring and fall. These gatherings are the best way to get connected and find a group.
If you weren’t able to attend a launch, no problem—just email us at groups@ccnorthside.com and we’ll help you take the next step toward community!
At Northside, we want leadership in the Groups to grow naturally from within. During our Group Launch events, you’ll connect with others at a table, and by the second night, each group decides together who will help guide the discussion and keep the group moving forward.
If you’re interested in helping lead a group, we ask that you attend Northside regularly and participate in a Group Launch event. This helps everyone get to know each other and build a strong foundation for community.
While there is no shortage of great content for followers of Jesus, we believe that repetition is the key to truly owning what we learn. That’s why we provide and encourage our Groups to start with our Sermon-Based Application Questions. These questions give our church family a simple, consistent way to revisit each week’s teaching and intentionally apply what God spoke to us during our weekend gatherings.
We offer married couples the opportunity to join a Group together with other married couples, because we believe this is an important part of growing in community. Key word: married.
For unmarried adults, we form same-gender groups. We’ve found that people are often able to go deeper, be more open, and grow further when they’re in a group with others of the same gender. Just like Scripture shows examples of close same-gender partnerships—Mary with Martha, James with John—these groups provide a safe, supportive space to study God’s Word, share life, and encourage one another.
We want to encourage each Group to make it their own! Some may want to start with a meal, while others may prefer an early morning coffee. That said, our suggested outline for fellowship and study is about 90 minutes.
Suggested Outline:
What happens before or after is completely up to your Group! Watch a movie, go for a walk, or connect with another Group—most importantly, enjoy being in community!
